Veterans, transitioning service members, spouses, families and caregivers were invited to the VA Alabama Economic Development Initiatives (EDI), a benefits and hiring fair, March 16-17, 2023, at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl. Attendees learned about the wide range of VA benefits and resources available to the Veteran and military communities.
Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) hosted this EDI in partnership with the Montgomery Regional Office. Registration was free of charge. Attendees learned about their benefits, received career training and were able to check on their VA claims status. This event featured a Benefits Fair, Hiring Fair, Presentations, Spouse and Caregiver Clinic, PACT Act and Claims Clinic and much more.
Learn how to maximize the use of your earned VA benefits and services. Attend a career development workshop, find a job, listen to presentations and connect with a claims processor. Presentations will cover topics such as VA benefits, health care, mental health and wellness, and career planning and guidance. Additionally, this EDI will offer claims assistance to help Veterans file claims or check on current claim status.

These sessions will highlight self-marketing techniques, networking and interviewing skills.
