Class One: April 6, 2022 (Offered twice – 12 p.m. EDT and 3 p.m. EDT)

Investing in the Digital Age

Hosted by Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) and presented by U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Investing in the Digital Age, was a 90-minute online class that took place twice on April 6, 2022 at 12 p.m EDT and 3 p.m. EDT. 

This session led by the SEC covered topics such as smart money management, the fundamentals of investing, investing apps, crypto assets, the risk of trading based so social media trends, and how to avoid scams.


Class Two: April 13, 2022 (Offered twice – 12 p.m. EST and 5 p.m. EST)

Destination: Financial Wellness

Hosted by Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) and presented by BC Holdings of Tennessee, Destination: Financial Wellness, was a one-hour online class that took place twice on April 13, 2022 at 12:00 p.m EST and 5:00 p.m. EST.


Class Three: April 20, 2022 (Offered twice – 12 p.m. EST and 3 p.m. EST)

Hosted by Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) and presented by Prudential Financial, Your Social Security Benefits, was a one-hour online class that took place twice on April 20, 2022 at 12 p.m EST and 3 p.m. EST. The class covered the basics of Social Security and how to enroll, retirement income needs, and strategies to maximize your Social Security income.

Understanding Credit Reports and Scores

Hosted by Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) and presented by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Understanding Credit Reports and Scores, was a one-hour online class that took place once on April 27, 2022 at 12:00 p.m EST. 

In this session, a representative from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) discussed about what resources are available to help you understand the basics of credit reports and scores. The information presented during this session is available through FDIC’s Money Smart for Adults at fdic.gov/moneysmart.

Protect Yourself From Fraud and Scams

Hosted by Outreach, Transition and Economic Development (OTED) and presented by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Protect Yourself From Fraud and Scams, was a one-hour online class that took place on April 27, 2022 at 3:00 p.m EST.
